It’s already becoming a habit: Sunny Isles Beach’s most luxurious oceanfront hotel just finished as one of the best hotels in the country. Miami Herald Reported.
The US magazine News & World Report released its 2022 list of the best hotels in the United States, and in what was no surprise to anyone, Acqualina Resort came in third place, behind The Peninsula Chicago (number 1) and Montage Kapalua Bay, in Maui (number 2).
The winning hotels stood out for their exceptional customer service, comfortable rooms, and wide variety of services. Acqualina, which also finished in the top three hotels in 2021, has spectacular ocean views, several great pools, a spa run by Espa, and restaurants like Ke-uH, which serves sushi and other Japanese fusion dishes, and the most traditional traditional Il Mulino New York, specializing in classic Italian cuisine.
In 2021, Acqualina garnered a veritable avalanche of praise. It was selected as the best hotel with an ocean view in the country for the fifth consecutive year in the USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards. Likewise, it finished in the 2021 Forbes Five Star list, and was part of Tripadvisor’s 2021 Best Hotels list.

The Setai Miami Beach finished in 37th place, while the Faena in Miami Beach was in 39th place (in 2021, Faena also finished as one of the best hotels in Miami by Condé Nast Traveler magazine). The St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort finished in 47th place. These three exclusives made the 2021 Forbes Five Star list.
Rankings remain important in 2022 as the pandemic continues to affect travel, said Zach Watson, travel editor of the prestigious U.S. News & World Report.
“Over the last two years, the tourism industry has had to face many difficulties, hence the need to highlight and recognize hotels that continue to maintain excellent standards,” Watson said in a statement.
US News & World Report also picked the best hotels in the Caribbean, selecting Eden Rock-St. Barths as #1, and Rosewood Bermuda as #1 in Bermuda. Jade Mountain in St. Lucia finished as the best all-inclusive hotel in the Caribbean.
Methodology for calculating ratings includes hotel reputation analysis by professional travel experts, guest reviews, and hotel class ratings.

The elegant neighborhood of Sunny Isles Beach
Sunny Isles Beach is an island next to Aventura and Bal Harbour. It is one of the most elegant neighborhoods in Miami. Predominantly residential, Sunny Isles offers some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida and is even known as the “Riviera of Florida”. The island was chosen by several developers to build luxury oceanfront condos. The most famous of these is the Porsche Design Tower, a branded tower with 51 rides that allows owners to park their cars inside the apartment, thanks to a state-of-the-art automotive elevator named Dezervator.
Like Porsche, the island will soon receive another Brand Residence Tower, the Bentley Tower. Bentley Residences in Sunny Isles Beach will also offer or offer Dezervator to their owners.
