The expansion plans of the train company Brightline are in full swing in Florida, despite all the problems brought about by the pandemic. A new station recently opened in Aventura, near Aventura Mall, on the West Dixie Highway. A pedestrian bridge over Biscayne Boulevard is planned in the project, to provide direct access from the station to the mall.
The initiative is an important milestone for the train company in South Florida and a historic breakthrough in public-private negotiations and ventures.
Miami-Dade County invested $ 76 million in the project, which includes the purchase of the land and estimated construction costs of $ 57.4 million.
Recenty Brightline ended its partnership with Virgin Trains in South Florida. Brightline had been operating as Virgin Trains USA, and was expected to complete the rebranding by this summer.
Miami Orlando Train
Brightline continues with the long-awaited train project that will connect Miami to Orlando . In addition to the Aventura and Orlando stations, Brightline also promises other stops, such as in the Port of Miami and also in Boca Raton. The company currently operates the Miami – Fort Lauderdale – Palm Beach route.
