During the pandemic, the construction plans for Okan Tower stopped. However, the $300M tower is back in business, and is resuming plans for construction. If built, the project will have 70 stories, and be taller than any current building in Miami. Allegedly, the tower would to rise 902 feet above ground. In addition, the tower will have a very unique shape, bringing an interesting addition to the Miami skyline.
Although the CEO of Turkish announced that the construction for the tower was back in business, construction permits from September 2019 have not yet been approved. In fact, the last activity on the construction permit was in December 2019. However, according to a utilities deal modified in late 2019, if constructed, the tower will have 316 hotel rooms operated by Hilton, and 399 residential units.
Furthermore, Okan Tower is also set to have 67,599 square feet of office, 305 square feet of retail, and a 2,690 coffee shop.
