A new member of Zoo Miami — an endangered Grevy’s Zebra — made his exhibit debut this week, CBS Miami reported. The male zebra — born last week — came out with his mother and another female zebra with her offspring on Tuesday.

The 102-pound newborn was pictured exploring while running and bucking throughout the exhibit. He is the 17th successful birth of this species at Zoo Miami.

Grevy’s zebras are the largest species of zebras and are found in the horn of Africa in northern Kenya and Ethiopia. They are listed as endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
