The same procedure was extended to Disney Cruise Line. Services are suspended until the end of March. The group’s hotels will remain open until further notice.
The impact on the operating profit of the group, with the coronavirus crisis, is estimated to exceed US $ 1 billion. The huge and recent investments made in the Star Wars and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway launches also weigh on the company’s financial health.
Magic Kingdom, Florida, is the most visited theme park in the world, with more than 20 million visitors in 2018.
Disney’s decision demonstrates the strong impact that the coronavirus crisis is having on the world, especially in the tourism sector.
